Server Administration
Linux server administration work that is not covered by our Managed Security service or for clients that do not have the Managed Security service.
Our core competencies are in:
- RedHat 7.1 onwards, Fedora, CentOS and Gentoo distributions.
- Apache administration and acceleration.
- Control panel software, especially H-Sphere
- Scripting languages: Bash, PHP, some Perl
- PostgreSQL administration, tuning and data replication.
- MySQL
- FTP daemons.
- Qmail, courier-imap, vpopmail, some postfix, common sendmail tasks.
- ClamAV (anti-virus)
- Spamassassin: administration and enhancements including Distributed Checksum Clearinghouse (compares mail to that received by others), URIDB (checks whether URLs in a message point to spammed sites), DNSBL (sender black lists), email greylisting.
- Web stats packages: AWStats, Analog
- BIND, TinyDNS (DJBDNS)
- Asterisk VOIP PBX
- Bastille
- Firewalling and other security measures
- All packages listed under our Advanced Linux Security Package.
- Nagios (server monitoring package, useful for checking disk space etc)

Work is performed as soon as possible: please give sufficient notice of work required to allow efficient scheduling.
Rates for work scheduled with standard priority:
Mon-Fr 9am-6pm (UK) except public holidays - £55 per hour (15 minute chunks)
Out-of-hours - £90 per hour (15 minute chunks, 30 minute minimum)
SOS response rates for customers with our Server Maintenance service:

Out-of-hours - £90 per hour (15 minute chunks, 30 minute minimum)
SOS response rates for customers without our Server Maintenance service:
Mon-Fr 9am-6pm (UK) except public holidays - £90 per hour (15 minute chunks)
